# ADS Data ## Contents - Variables - Node or wire label V's - Src currents - Probe data (current, power, other) - Port Impedances (s-parameter sims) - Equations (schematic) - Index Values e.g. Harmonic Balance ![](attachments/Pasted%20image%2020220915131902.png#invert) A source is a port if it has a box ![](attachments/Pasted%20image%2020220915131918.png#invert) ![](attachments/Pasted%20image%2020220915131944.png#invert) Easy start - insert a list ![](attachments/Pasted%20image%2020220915132049.png#invert) ![](attachments/Pasted%20image%2020220915132150.png#invert) ### Current in a dataset Probe will work: ![](attachments/Pasted%20image%2020220915132217.png#invert) Editing the controller (except for s-parameter)>select pin currents ![](attachments/Pasted%20image%2020220915132317.png#invert) Sim output: ![](attachments/Pasted%20image%2020220915132350.png#invert) Might not want all the data in a large schematic. ![](attachments/Pasted%20image%2020220915132450.png#invert) Then add/Remove>select each component and the available pin current. ## Differentiate plots from different datasets Two datasets with non-default name. Different will have dataset path in the name. ![](attachments/Pasted%20image%2020220915132936.png#invert) Can also combine data from different datasets (for plotting, comparison etc.). ## Editing Plots Edit individual Traces - change type, axes (2 y-axes), etc. Try this - best way to learn.[^1] ## S-Parameter Measurements Markers can be placed on the trace (can move the readout. Can go from admittance to impedance etc. Can insert the marker at a given frequency etc. Mix from [harmonic balance](harmonic%20balance.md) acts like a variable. ## Equations power_fund = dBm(Vout[1]) Equation will turn red if not valid. ## Other Data SNP component - assign file (measured results). DAC - arbitrary way to point to a file.
