# Pass transistors
PMOS and NMOS can be used.

If the transistor is off, the output voltage would depend on the load connected.

To turn the transistors on, we need a gate-source voltage which is larger than the threshold voltage. This means the output voltage has to be lower than VDD-Vthn for the NMOS and greater than Vthp for the PMOS.

Thus the NMOS is good at transmitting logic 0 (voltages close to GND).
PMOS is good at transmitting logic H (voltages close to VDD).
