# power delay profile
The channel responses are a set of powers for each delay path. The magnitude represents the path gain.

Different paths have different gains.
Impulse responses describe the behaviour of the channel.
It's weird that the stronger path comes later!
This could be because the reflections add up.
## What does this mean?
When you convolve the signal with the power delay profile impulses, you get the same signal scaled by these factors:

The symbol width may lead to interference if the [multipath](Multipath%20Fading.md) are close together in time.

## Uses
Used in the calculation of [Mean excess delay](Mean%20excess%20delay.md).
