# SIR and Capacity tradeoff ## Critical Issues We don't have perfect filters to cut up the spectrum.  There may be interference from adjacent channels, not even the same channel in a different cluster! Near-far effect can really degrade the performance. Follows rules to ensure the best design is made. ## Assigning frequencies to adjacent cells #ROT Keep a channel separation of greater than six times channel bandwidths (to bring adjacent channel interference to an acceptable level).
