Focuses on the context of a leader - their effectiveness is directly determined by the situational context.
An adaptive leader can change their leadership style to suit the situation.
It might be best **to find the right kind of leader for a specific situation**.
Personality is a smaller factor than the style implemented.

Interchangeable names
Leadership quality depends on the context it exists in.
Might be useful in some situations but not others.
Of central importance is the context -
Do they need to be a product of their context - no! great leaders have issues with their current context, need to create context in which their leadership is important.
Powerful sign of good leadership to change the situation in which the leader acts!
